A lot of Parisians leave the city during the summer, so you will have the best opportunity to explore the otherwise busy streets, cafés and parks!
Things to do:
Bastille Day is France’s biggest national holiday is held on July 14th. A large military parade takes place at The Champs-Elysees and there are fireworks at the Eiffel Tower in the evening. After the parade, take advantage of the summer weather and enjoy a picnic with Champagne, strawberries, a baguette or two, and cheese.
Tour de France
This annual 3-week race through France happens every July, finishing at the Champs Elysees.
Foire Saint Germain
The Foire Saint Germain in the lovely Saint Germain des Pres neighbourhood generally starts in May and goes through July. It’s a street fair with music, antique sellers, and (of course) food.
